A recent article in the Journal of the American Medical Association suggests patients try chiropractic services for the treatment of low-back pain.

JAMA Network | JAMA | Low Back Pain

This article in the April 24th, 2013 edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association says that Chiropractic treatment can be a benefit for low back pain.  This is an amazing statement form this source.  They also recommend acupuncture, physical therapy and exercise.

According to the article, surgery is not usually needed and should only be considered if more conservative therapies fail.  That's how I practice.  Using methods of chiropractic...acutherapy(acupuncture without needles), functional myofascial/fascia treatment, exercise and home advice, it is likely for these patients that their back pain, sciatica and misery can be helped.

Acupuncture Relieves Cancer Fatigue

Treating the acupuncture points can benefit people in so many ways.  The article I am highlighting here-
Acupuncture Relieves Cancer Fatigue, was given to me today by a patient whose  months old, post- chemotherapy fatigue went away from using  "non-needle" treatment with laser light to specific acu-points on her last visit.  It is wonderful and gratifying to be part of her care.

I am not certified/licensed to use acupuncture needles but I am able to treat the acu-points effectively without them.  And for those who "fear needles", it is an easy alternative!

Is Your Chair Trying To Kill You? | Daily Shot - Yahoo! Shine

Is Your Chair Trying To Kill You?  As a Doctor that regularly deals with pain and related disabilities my patients suffer, I have to agree.  Sitting a lot  is a major Bad habit!

Take breaks every 20 to 30 minutes.  Stretch, walk or move to reset your "connective tissue".

Consider a standing desk or even a treadmill and desk combo.  Also cycling or other  exercise device could be helpful as well.

You know..."Move it or Lose it!"
